Morning Rituals, Flow State, Deep Work, Subconscious Meditative Drawing::: call it what you will. Getting up early, grabbing a cup of tea, and making marks on paper has been a fun ritual for some time. Warmups, scribbling, doodling, sketching, thumbnails—- more titles for free flow creativity.

Rudolph Steiner is someone who I have just recently stumbled on. Talk about going down a “Rabbit Hole”. He passed away in 1925, but his writings and philosophies are mind blowing. Take the time, Look into IT!

Off and at ‘em……. Since the Corona Debacle, we have all had to endure, I have a newfound dislike for Social Media. Most media, to be honest with you. Financially incentivizing Fear Porn.
In the ongoing quest to get clicks, likes, follows, subscribes, get you to buy, keep you coming back— Triggering the amygdala, the part of the brain responsible for Fight/Flight/Freeze reactions. Love, Truth, peace, honesty, tranquility do not seem to work. Fear, anger, sex, death, shouting, name calling, deceptive headlines, False “facts”…..etc.
I will put more of my efforts to update, show off my work, show my process, give tips, techniques, answer questions, share, learn, teach— all here on my personal website. For those that know me, hopefully you can get to know much more about me, what I do, how I do it, why I do it, my inspirations, successes and failures over the years.
Algorithims suck!! I spent far too many years chasing imaginary goals, before awakening to the fact that my efforts were having no effect with my audience, clients or friends. For now, I will focus on this blog and dust off my mailing list to go directly to those that know me, like me, and want to peek in on this strange, beautiful ride called life. See it through the eyes of an artist in Anchorage Alaska, that has spent the last 30 years tattooing.
