Eat a full meal within 2 hours beforehand. Stay hydrated the day before and day of. Wear the right clothing for easy access to the area. Skip alcohol for 24+ hours — it thins the blood. Moisturize in the days leading up, but skip lotion the morning of. Get good sleep.
1. Keep the wrap on for 4-12 hours. 2. Wash gently with unscented antibacterial soap, pat dry. 3. Moisturize with unscented lotion 2–3 times daily. 4. Stay out of water — no pools or hot tubs for 2–3 weeks. 5. Avoid direct sun while healing. 6. Don't pick or scratch — let it flake naturally.

Yes, to varying degrees — but very manageable. Pain depends on placement and personal tolerance. Areas over bone (ribs, spine) are more intense. Fleshy areas like the upper arm are more comfortable. Being well-rested, hydrated, and fed makes a big difference.
